Appearing for the board exam is challenging. When we think about the board exams, our minds start getting emotions like anxiety, fear, and stress. We start looking for study material and resources such as textbooks, sample papers, previous years papers etc. The best way to cope with the fear of board exams is to solve the previous years’ papers. So, to help you gain confidence for the board exams, we share a few tips for solving the past years’ papers.

Tips to Follow While Solving the Question Papers

Last year’s papers are helpful study material for board examinations. If you solve the CBSE Previous Year Question Papers Class 10 by following the tips and strategy mentioned below, you will surely score high marks in the exam.

1) Start Solving the Paper At least 1 Month Before The Exam

You are advised to start solving the previous year’s question papers at least 30 days before the board exams. It would be better to finish your syllabus earlier and give more time to practice the sample question papers.

2) Daily Solve One Paper

You must try to solve one paper daily. It will help you understand your strengths and weaker areas. Instead of increasing the counts of solving the question paper, you must focus on qualitative output. Solving one paper with full dedication will give a much better result than solving 5 papers daily.

3) Complete the Paper Within the Allocated Time Duration

You must try to finish the paper within the allocated time duration. By doing so, you will get to know whether you can complete the paper on time or not. If not, then you need to work on your time management.

4) Self-evaluate Your Performance

After finishing a paper, you must evaluate your own answer sheet. For this, you can refer to the answer sheet or marking scheme provided on the official CBSE website. By comparing your answers with the answer sheet, you will be able to find out your mistakes. Also, you will get to know where you need to work hard to improve your performance.

5) Work on Your Weakness

After evaluating the answer sheet, the next step is to work on them. It would be best if you started focusing on your weak areas. But, while doing so, don’t forget to revise those topics in which you are strong. Because if you start ignoring them, then after some time, you forget those concepts. So, work on maintaining your strong points and improve those where you are weak.

The above-mentioned points are also helpful for solving the CBSE Previous Year Question Papers Class 12. By doing so, the class 12 students will be able to give their best performance in the examination and pass the exam with flying colours. Apart from the board examinations students, these tips are also beneficial for other classes. If any student wants to practise the sample papers in this manner, they can do it. Doing so will help them in preparation, and they will rock in the exams.
